Within the Smir Group we have our own shipping company, Hydro Shipping AS. We are system developers with the best knowledge when it comes to Hydrolicers. In addition to this, within the company we have outstanding seafarers with extensive experience of the aquaculture industry and operations. Going from being a supplier that provides system and staffing to delivering a total concept with vessels was a natural progression for us.
The first vessel in the shipping company is the “Hydro Pioneer”, a 52m fully refurbished PSV that will operate on a long-term contract with the Scottish Salmon Company on the west coast of Scotland from the autumn of 2019.
The “Hydro Pioneer” will be installed with a 4 line Hydrolicer with the possibility of being extended to 6 lines. The vessel will be mainly used for delousing, but will also be equipped to carry out other operational services for customers. A low freeboard and excellent
