The acquisition is of strategic importance in Smir`s investment in submersible pen systems.
The aquaculture technology and service provider has acquired the service and diving company KB-Group in Roervik, according to a press release.
Are Brekk is the CEO of Smir Group`s shipping company Hydro Shipping. Like KB-Group, Hydro Shipping is located in Roervik in Naeroeysund municipality. He sees considerable potential for further developing and creating new maritime services aimed at the aquaculture industry.
– KB-Group has over 20 years of experience from a wide range of diving and service operations along the entire Norwegian coast. At the same time, the acquisition strengthens both the capacity and the flexibility in our fleet, says Brekk.
